Ho Chi Minh​  City aka Saigon

An experience I need to have again ! I loved it !

Me and my backpack , the only black lady in the streets of Ho Chi Minh looking so amazed at the “decor”. I stayed in the very nice hotel "Grand Silverland Hotel & Spa ".

I was super welcomed in the country and found the most opened and friendly locals! I received lots of guidance of spots to go to and best things to do around. 

Walking around freely, enjoying the weather and eating GOOD traditional Vietnamese dishes: Noodles, rice and vegetables were part of every single menu that I had. Also famous for its "pho" the traditional Vietnamese noodle soup and yummy pork rolls. I was too scared to try the deep-fried snake dishes... so taste it for me :)

Navigation wise, there was so much traffic jam I was grateful to be in my car some evenings and not on a scooter, especially when the rain hit me... However, could be a great way to explore the streets on a little Vespa and checkout some hot spots.​
 

War Remnants Museum is nice to visit and it shows the brutality of the Vietnam War, put your claustrophobia aside while visiting the interconnected underground tunnels. It's fascinating.

I also enjoyed a cool ride on the Mekong Delta, it’s another world worth the visit, where markets, villages float on even if I was in panic thinking the boat would reverse it seems so unstable it was a bit stressful.
 

I was really happy to discover this beautiful country, fabulous and kind local people, interesting culture , nice landscape and very cool atmosphere ! I felt great. Surely need to go back because there’s a lot I missed as I stayed only few days..
